Welcome

A very warm welcome to Birchwood Nursery School. We are passionate about Early Years Education and strive to provide a warm, caring and stimulating learning environment where everyone feels valued and are able to fully participate in school life. It is a privilege to work with your children and we appreciative that you as parents are your child’s first educator - we aim to work in partnership with you to lay the foundations for their future learning. Positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do at Birchwood. We are proud of the relationships we have with our parents, staff, governors and local community and through this, our children experience a happy and positive start to school life. We are extremely proud to achieve our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted grade in March 2017 in which they commented, “Children make outstanding progress from their various starting points. This is because staff use practical activities extremely successfully to develop children’s understanding in all areas of learning.” We offer outstanding education for children aged two- five years old in our purpose built building offering a rich and varied curriculum. We have a large outside area, with a range of equipment, which children have plenty of access to throughout the day. We look forward to working with you and your child during the time they are with us at Birchwood and being part of their education.
